I wanted to make some birthday cards that i could either give away or use in an emergency... here is one of them...

As you can see most of my cards are birthday ones so here is another one... My friend Jenny is a bit of a green thumb and loves to garden so i thought this image from Lala land was perfect. Its another digital image. I finally used some flowers on my cards this time. I find it hard to put flowers on my cards and I only put them on this one cause i didn't have to post it in the mail. I tend to like my cards flat. Anyway i like the way this one turned out and I love Lala Land.
I really love the images at Lala Land and keep going back to them time and time again. The digi's are so easy to easy and I have become a massive convert of digital images to wood mounted stamps. Don't get me wrong I still love my stamps and my first love will always be House Mouse but Digi's are just much much easier.
Anyway here are 2 cards using LalaLand imges. Well I have had a few problems with uploading over the last few weeks so sorry for the delay in photo's. I am hoping that if i start a new post it will sort itself out (guess we will see).
Anyway a good friend at work was having his birthday so we decided to make him a card and a cake, after all whats a birthday without cake (and a card) well its not much of a birthday! I have know Brad for what feels like forever now. After going to TAFE together he didn't learn and we have been working together for over 5 years, he is into card tricks at the moment so I thought this image was prefect Here is his card and cake (made by Laurens Cakes. A close friend at work is about to have her birthday on Monday. For once I planned ahead and actually got stuff done. I am sure you have read (or will read) my posts about Lauren's wonderful cakes - now I bake but I am not even close to being in her league when it comes to cakes so I thought I would do what I do best and play with paper. The card is an image from Lala land and I also made her a paper cake with chewing gum inside :).
The cake was such fun to make, i borrowed the dye (for the Cuttlebug) from a friend - I may just have to buy my own. Enjoy Lara Here is the birthday card I made for a Friends birthday. The Image I used was from LaLaland - I love their stamps
Well I have a kitchen tea to go to on Saturday and I just finished making the card. As it is a bit of a slow day here I thought I would also upload it to my blog as I haven't given the person I am giving the card to, my blog details (she doesn't card make so she probably isn't that interested - and I don't even think she has Internet access!).. Anway..
This is also the first time I have done a shape card and am pretty happy with it. I downloaded the kettle shape from the Internet and used some paper and bling that I had lying around. The cute image on the front is from Lalaland. |
AuthorHi, I am from Sydney Australia and have just got back into Cardmaking. I am in my 30's and live with my partner Matt. I have been card making on and off for about 10 years but only recently really got back into it. I love all my craft items but i couldn't live without my Copic's! Archives
